I know firsthand the vital importance of the government programs that help our most marginalized and that provide opportunities for the middle class. These programs have been the boost that I’ve needed along my journey, and as a parole officer I see how important it is to make sure people do not fall into the cracks that leave them desperate and vulnerable because suffering magnifies and hurts the entire community.

These kinds of government programs are collective investments made by us all to improve our overall well-being, one life at a time, and their success is of such vital importance that I take a no tolerance attitude towards fraud and abuse of taxpayer dollars. Those who take advantage of our social programs steal from those in need and sow distrust in our government. I will relentlessly pursue accountability for all forms of corruption.
