I’ve spent my career standing up for working families every day, not just talking about them in Washington. As a probation officer and union president, I know what it means to fight for good wages, benefits, and dignity on the job. Our district deserves someone who will focus on lowering grocery bills, stabilizing housing, and protecting workers’ rights – including protecting social security from privatization – here at home.

One of the largest burdens on working families is the cost of childcare. I know how critical this issue is to the well-being of many households. We must support working families with affordable childcare, paid family leave, and fair pay for childcare professionals.

As an AFSCME member, I don’t just support unions, I live the struggle of public-sector workers every day. I know that the victories of organized labor lift up all workers and all families by raising the bar for fair wages, benefits, and respect on the job. Serving as a leader in the labor movement is one of my proudest accomplishments, and as your representative, I’ll always remain accountable to working people.
