Under the current administration, it has become clear that we must work to defend democracy, not only abroad, but here at home. We must support our allies, honor our veterans, and ensure our military has the resources needed to keep America safe. Our military service personnel must not be used as political props, or asked to violate the constitution.

One of the most disturbing MAGA policy priorities is the weakening of our democracy through disenfranchisement. We are seeing an intensification of efforts meant to make it harder for people to participate in democracy, when we need to do the opposite and encourage greater participation. In the face of these challenges we must expand voter rights, strengthen election security, and recommit to the Voting Rights Act.
